Description
These absolutely gorgeous custom floating shelves are made out of a solid walnut wood slab and feature a live edge. As these are naturally finished, they will not have a straight front edge and will have characteristics found in a natural piece of wood such as bug holes and bark inclusions. Cracks and knots will be limited and will be filled, which will provide a polished look. These heavy duty floating shelves include a pre-installed hidden Hovr Solutions bracket, capable of holding 300 pounds.
As our floating shelves are made out of solid hardwood, they may contain cracks, knots, and some colorization changes. We believe that these imperfections add to the authenticity of the shelf but will work to limit them in your finished product.
Please Note: The depth of the shelf can fluctuate between 8" and 12" depending on the wood slab used. If you need a specific, consistent depth, please let us know and we will find the perfect slab that meets your needs.

The Hovr Bracket System uses a male and female bracket that interlock and screw together to form unparalleled strength and can hold 150 pounds per stud.
The Current Standard
The current standard for floating shelves and other floating solutions is designed with a 2-prong system. This design causes major weaknesses within the floating solution. The average load capacity is 50 pounds per stud.

We offer customizations to any shelf, including rounded corners, plate grooves, and channels for LED lighting. Shelf customization is $50 per shelf. Once ordered, please email us at Ben@shelfexpression.net for further details.

Due to our small shop, please allow 4-5 weeks for production time. We ship via UPS Ground. Once we ship, please allow an additional 2 days shipping to east coast addresses, and 5-6 days to west coast addresses.

Please email us at Ben@shelfexpression.net to start your return. You will receive a pre-paid UPS label. You must make all effort to properly package your order for return to avoid damage. You must initiate your return within 30 days, and we must receive your order within 45 days.

We ordered 2 each of both the 26 inch and the 38 inch live edge shelves for our kitchen, and are very pleased with their beauty, strength and unique touch to what was a very plain section of the room! Ben was great with communication during the entire process, and he was very responsive when we ran into a small issue with one of the shelves. The shelves were delivered within the specified time frame and they were packaged extremely well with corner protection and lots of bubble wrap!
