We created our first floating shelf after being dismayed at the high costs of purchasing a solid hardwood shelf that used an expensive metal bracket for support.  We started on a journey with the goal to create beautiful hand crafted shelves out of readily available pine wood, and utilizing wooden dowel rods and a bracket created from the actual shelf, eliminating the need for metal brackets.  The result was an aesthetically pleasing shelf, with a glass like finish, at a fraction of the price of hardwood shelves.  Our shelves will help you make the house, but what you'll put on them, will make your home.
